CODEM Composites, a leader in advanced composite solutions, is proud to announce the successful tender of a prestigious multi-year, multi-million-pound NATO satellite communications contract. This significant achievement underscores CODEM’s expertise and reliability in the field of high-performance composite communication technologies.
Drawing on a robust 15-year relationship within the satellite communications industry CODEM Composites’ Managing Director Kevin Doherty remarked, “Our long-standing partnership reflects the trust and reliability CODEM brings to critical communications solutions.”
At the heart of this contract is the innovative FA-240 antenna system, a testament to CODEM’s engineering excellence. The FA-240 is designed for compact, durable, and swiftly deployable multi-band use. Its standout feature, a unique feed arm, allows for rapid frequency changes via a quick-release cartridge, eliminating the need for tools.
The FA-240’s carbon fibre reflector is both lightweight and strong, ensuring it maintains its shape through
repeated assemblies. Its efficient design minimises packed size and simplifies maintenance with easily
replaceable petals. 100 controller, the FA-240 can automatically track satellites, including those in inclined
orbits. For ease of transport, the FA-240 is packaged into lightweight carbon fibre flight cases, making it as portable as it is powerful.
This contract and the deployment of the FA-240 highlight CODEM’s unwavering commitment to delivering cutting-edge, reliable communication solutions for critical applications worldwide.
Rochelle Helliwell, Business Manager, commented, “We are thrilled to have secured the NATO contract. It
not only provides a solid foundation for growth, supporting our long-term recruitment and investment
strategies but also reinforces our commitment to maintaining strong, longstanding customer relationships.”
