CODEM Composites Publishes FY2025/26 Sustainability & Carbon Report

CODEM Composites has published its FY2025/26 Sustainability & Carbon Report, marking a significant step forward in the company’s approach to measuring, understanding and reducing its environmental impact.

For the first time, CODEM Composites has captured emissions across its full supply chain through monthly tracking of Purchased Goods & Services, providing a more comprehensive and transparent view of the company’s carbon footprint.

The report records a total footprint of 2,559.6 tonnes of CO₂ equivalent (mtCO₂e) for FY2025/26.

CODEM Composites emphasises that the increase in its reported footprint reflects improved measurement and greater transparency, rather than a decline in environmental performance. The enhanced data provides the business with a clearer understanding of where emissions are generated and where the greatest opportunities for reduction exist.

More than 93% of CODEM Composites’ reported emissions are associated with purchased materials, highlighting the critical role of its supply chain in achieving meaningful carbon reductions.

The FY2025/26 report sets out:

  • The company’s overall carbon footprint for the financial year
  • Key emissions hotspots across its operations and supply chain
  • Progress made throughout FY2025/26
  • Sustainability priorities and a roadmap for reducing emissions during FY2026/27

Rochelle Helliwell, BDM at CODEM Composites said:

“Understanding our environmental impact starts with understanding our data. This year, we have significantly strengthened the way we measure and report our emissions, giving us a much clearer picture of our footprint across our operations and supply chain.

“While the improved measurement has resulted in a higher reported footprint, this is an important step forward in transparency and accountability. More importantly, it has highlighted where we can make the biggest difference, particularly through collaboration with our suppliers.

“Our focus now is on turning better data into meaningful action and building a clear, practical pathway towards reducing our emissions.”

The report forms part of CODEM Composites’ ongoing commitment to improving sustainability across its business and supply chain. By strengthening emissions reporting and working collaboratively with suppliers, the company aims to identify practical opportunities to reduce carbon and drive continual environmental improvement.

Improving what we measure is the first step towards reducing it.

CODEM Composites will continue to build on the progress made during FY2025/26 as it works towards its sustainability priorities for FY2026/27.
